Marilyn K Walker is the author of four books; Reflections, The Artist's Brush, Years of Gold, and Shadows on the Mountain. She has been recognized for her work and published in numerous anthologies and national magazines including Avon Times in 2000 as well as Desert Woman's Magazine and Coping in 2006.

Marilyn was born in Saugerties, New York and has lived there all her life. She married her late husband, Charles (Chuck) Walker on August 13, 1950 and they were together for 62 years. They have two children, Wendy and Bud and four grandchildren, Beth, Amanda, Larissa and CJ.

 

Marilyn is a 72 year member of the Saugerties First Congregational Church. She is a member of the Ulster County Genealogical Society, the American Legion Auxiliary Post #72, the Saugerties Historical Society and the Senior Citizen Club #2. She has been an Avon representative since 1955 and is a charter member of the Avon President's Club.

 

Marilyn is also a member of the National League of American Pen Women, the Cahuilla Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Queen Ann Chapter of the National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century, the Red Hat Society, the Mizell Senior Citizens Center, the Palm Springs Genealogical Society and is an affiliate member of the Palm Springs Presbyterian Church.
